INDES 2019: The 8 th International Innovation, Invention & Design competition which was held in Ipoh on 19 th September 2019 had received more than 150 participations from across Malaysia as well as Indonesia. The participants had been divided based on 5 main themes i.e. Green & Sustainability, Design & Creativity, Science, Engineering & Technology, Social Science & Entrepreneurship and Education.
A team from Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering and Life Sciences UNISEL with collaboration with Universiti Malaya Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC) had participated in INDES 2019 through category A (Academic & Industry) under the theme of Green & Sustainability. This team lead by Ts. Siti Birkha Mohd Ali and her colleague Noora Samsina Johari along with 3 other members had been awarded with Gold Medal through their project title called ECO SHOWROOM. The idea behind this project is to assist in affordable and sustainable renovation for an existing building towards energy saving and cleaner environment. A virtual showroom has been modelled for the show casting during the event. Congratulations to the team for this outstanding achievement.
